   In July 2026 Sen. Rand Paul released roughly 1,141 pages of Fauci's pandemic diary, including a March 31, 2020 entry stating 'We probably were too strong in saying masks do not work' — a contemporaneous primary source corroborating that the early 'don't wear masks' guidance was an overcorrection later reversed.
