A July 2026 Private Equity Stakeholder Project tracker counted ~447 PE-owned US hospitals, identified Apollo Global as the largest owner, and found PE facilities lagging national CMS quality benchmarks (17% 1-star vs 7.9%), updating the evidence for this theory.
