Claims that solar geoengineering research proves an active global chemtrail spraying program.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., confirmed as US Secretary of Health and Human Services in February 2025, has made recurring claims that the federal government possesses hidden or suppressed adverse-event data about vaccines — sometimes described as a "vault" of concealed CDC or FDA data that would, if released, reveal a broader pattern of vaccine harm than is publicly known. The Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) is and has long been publicly accessible at vaers.hhs.gov. CDC publishes its vaccine-safety surveillance data through multiple public platforms. HHS and CDC maintain no publicly-disclosed "vault" of suppressed adverse-event data. Specific datasets RFK Jr has cited — including autism-prevalence breakdowns and alleged internal safety signal analyses — are either publicly available or have not been produced as documentary evidence of suppression. The claim that a discoverable vault of hidden data exists is unsubstantiated; questions about specific data granularity and research transparency at federal agencies are a legitimate ongoing policy debate.

Claims that George Soros personally controls protests, prosecutors, migration, currency crises, or global politics through a hidden command structure.

The victim was killed that night. This incident and broader investigative failures are well-documented; claims of intentional protection remain contested.

Claims that centuries of recorded history were fabricated or chronologies are radically shorter than accepted.

The Bank of Credit and Commerce International — nicknamed "Bank of Crooks and Criminals International" — was founded in 1972 in Karachi by Agha Hasan Abedi with Pakistani backing and operated across 70+ countries. Regulators closed it on 5 July 1991 in a coordinated global shutdown after uncovering massive loan fraud, money laundering for Manuel Noriega, Saddam Hussein, Yasser Arafat, Marcos, and Abu Nidal, and covert use by the CIA and Saudi GID. Two distinct documented patterns are examined here. First, disconnection: the Church of Scientology's documented practice of requiring members to sever contact with family members and friends who are critical of the Church or have left it. This practice is attested by court testimony, regulatory findings, and named ex-members including Mike Rinder, Leah Remini, and Paul Haggis. Second, the 1993 IRS settlement granting the Church tax-exempt status after a prolonged campaign against IRS officials that the Church described as litigation; the settlement's terms were not made public, which has sustained a "secret deal" conspiracy framing. Tejano singer Selena Quintanilla-Pérez was shot and killed by Yolanda Saldívar on 31 March 1995 at a Corpus Christi motel. Saldívar had been the founder and president of Selena's fan club and the manager of her boutiques. Embezzlement of approximately $60,000 from the fan club and boutiques was the documented motive for the confrontation that preceded the shooting. Saldívar was convicted of first-degree murder in 1995 and sentenced to life in prison. The conspiracy framing — that the embezzlement was a cover story for a deeper institutional "cover-up" — has no evidentiary basis. Trial transcripts are public record; the conviction is solid.

Researchers, cultural critics, and fact-checkers have consistently demonstrated that the hand triangle gesture is the "Roc-A-Fella diamond," a pre-existing fan and label signal originating with Jay-Z's Roc-A-Fella Records, and that the wider Illuminati conspiracy narrative applied to pop stars carries no evidentiary support and has antisemitic-adjacent roots that analysts at the Anti-Defamation League and Vox have documented in detail.

Claims that a hidden planet is approaching Earth and repeatedly predicted to cause apocalypse.

On March 20, 1995, five members of the Aum Shinrikyo cult released sarin nerve agent in five Tokyo subway lines during morning rush hour, killing 13 people and injuring approximately 6,250. The attack was ordered by cult founder Shoko Asahara (born Chizuo Matsumoto). The theory rests on symbolism in posthumous album releases, alleged Cuba sightings, and a general reluctance to accept the violent loss of one of hip-hop's most iconic figures. Tupac's death is documented by hospital records, a Clark County coroner's autopsy, police investigation files, and the 2023 federal indictment of the man long suspected of orchestrating the shooting.

The 1997 death of Diana, Princess of Wales in a Paris car crash has spawned decades of conspiracy theories alleging assassination by British intelligence, the Royal Family, or other state actors — most forcefully championed by Mohamed Al-Fayed, father of Dodi Fayed who died in the same crash.

On the evening of 13 March 1997, two distinct aerial events over Arizona generated thousands of eyewitness reports and became one of the most widely documented mass-UFO-sighting events in American history. CNN retracted the report in July 1998 after an independent review by First Amendment attorney Floyd Abrams found the claim was not supported by the evidence gathered. The two producers responsible were dismissed. Operation Tailwind itself was a real classified SOG mission; the sarin-on-defectors claim is the fabricated element, retracted by the news organisation that aired it.

The claim, popularized by British writer David Icke from 1999 onward, that a race of shape-shifting reptilian humanoids from Alpha Draconis secretly rule the Earth by posing as political and royal elites including the British Royal Family.

The July 16, 1999 crash of a small aircraft off Martha's Vineyard piloted by John F. Kennedy Jr., killing him, his wife Carolyn Bessette, and sister-in-law Lauren Bessette. Conspiracy claims allege assassination by the Clintons, a senior Kennedy family cabal, or staged disappearance — the latter a QAnon staple.

On 7 May 1999, during NATO's Operation Allied Force air campaign against the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, US B-2 bombers struck the Chinese embassy in Belgrade, killing three Chinese journalists — Shao Yunhuan, Xu Xinghu, and Zhu Ying — and injuring dozens more. The Clinton administration and NATO apologised, attributing the strike to an outdated CIA map that misidentified the building as the Federal Directorate for Supply and Procurement (Yugoimport). In October 1999, The Observer published an investigation claiming the strike was deliberate, targeting the embassy because it was relaying Yugoslav military communications via its antenna. CIA Director George Tenet apologised to Congress. The incident severely damaged US-China relations and triggered protests at US diplomatic missions across China.

Merck launched the painkiller Vioxx (rofecoxib) in 1999 despite internal data suggesting elevated cardiovascular risk. In September 1999, a series of explosions destroyed apartment buildings in Moscow, Buynaksk, and Volgodonsk, killing approximately 300 people. GlaxoSmithKline's diabetes drug Avandia (rosiglitazone) was approved by the FDA in 1999. A 2007 meta-analysis by cardiologist Steven Nissen, published in the New England Journal of Medicine, found that Avandia was associated with a 43% increased risk of myocardial infarction. Senate Finance Committee investigations in 2010 found that GSK had internal evidence of cardiovascular risk years before the Nissen publication and had not disclosed it to regulators. GSK settled with the US Department of Justice for $3 billion in 2012 — at the time the largest healthcare fraud settlement in US history — covering Avandia and other products. EgyptAir Flight 990, a Boeing 767-300ER operating LAX-CAI via JFK, plunged into the Atlantic Ocean 60 miles south of Nantucket on 31 October 1999, killing all 217 people on board.
